Spiritual Awakening – When the Petals Fall
Today’s Note to Self ~Remember today, the petals that fall gently and lay at my feet, provide the magical pathway to my dreams ~
I love the Spiritual Awakening that comes from a beautiful yellow flower.
It was quite a windy day as we drove out into the country to breathe in some of the beauty of the surrounding hills. Being autumn, it was such a wonderful surprise to see a garden still filled to the brim with the most delicious flowers. Their colours were brilliant, and they were begging me to stop and take a closer look … and take lots of photos! Each one proudly posed for the camera … and then out of the corner of my eye, just as we were about to leave, I noticed something very special.
One little yellow flower, at the bottom of the fence, was calling me to come closer and take a photo … it had a wonderful story to tell! It had been buffeted by the wind and several of its fragile petals had fallen, and were now lying on the ground below. But the little flower had not lost any of its beauty … it just smiled knowingly, and continued to have fun as it played with the wind and shone its magnificence to the world. I may have imagined it, but as I turned to walk away, I could have sworn that it winked at me!!! LOL Maybe, just maybe, it knew a secret that had the ability to change my life.
Message from Nature Spirit:
Flowers are Nature’s way of helping you to recognise the beauty of your soul! Gaze upon their beauty and you are truly gazing upon the beauty that lies within you. Each tiny petal reminds you of the gentle softness of the Universal love which surrounds and enfolds you in every moment of your existence. Breathe deeply of their perfume and you are experiencing the delicious aromas of the banquet set in readiness for your soul to celebrate its growth towards higher realms. Watch with tenderness as it unfolds from bud to flower, and you are watching the wondrous journey of your soul as it grows and becomes.
This little flower is suggesting that it may be time to allow the winds of change to swoop down, and blow away those petals that may be holding you back from moving towards your dreams. Each petal represents a person or circumstance or challenge which is hiding your true magic… just to help you out here, these may include blame, resentment, guilt, shame, doubt, worry, stress, or whatever jumps into your mind as you read this. Sometimes, in the physical, you forget that many of the things you hold onto are the very things that also hold you back from manifesting your dreams. You forget the love that surrounds you, you forget the banquet that awaits you, and you forget that the letting go is the way in which your beauty grows. So, today, step into the wind, close your eyes, and feel those unnecessary petals fly away. You are so loved!
Spiritual Awakening – By the Light of the Silvery Moon
Today’s Note to Self ~Remember today, that I can fly through the shadows of the darkest nights when I allow my intuitive wings to follow the path of the magical, invisible silvery threads that stretch out before me … I then embrace my oneness with all that is~
The Spiritual growth that comes in the message from a little moth.
Yes, I know I said I would share some more little ‘Heart’ messages with you, but I was so excited yesterday to find this most beautiful little moth that I just had to write about it… today!!! Here in the southern parts of the world, we are enjoying the most beautiful autumn. The days have that wonderful warmth that seeps through every cell of your body, there is a stillness in the air, and of course, the most delightful display of the colour as Mother Nature shares her magnificence before she allows the sleep of winter to pervade the trees.
It was afternoon, and I stepped outside to take a break from my computer, and to retrieve the towels from the clothesline. I very nearly missed my little visitor on the grey towel, but the breeze parted the leaves on the tree above and allowed a ray of sunshine to shine its light on this amazing little moth. I stood for sometime just marveling at its uniqueness, and how it had so cleverly camouflaged itself. It had become one with its surroundings and yet, had still been able to retain its magnificence. It had made that journey through the darkness of night, guided by its intuition and the vibrations of the moon, and had found its way into the light to bring such joy to my day. Yes, I did, after quite a deal of asking and coaxing, eventually get it to understand that I needed to bring in the washing, and it very happily flew off and away … and I was so truly grateful for its visit.
Message from Nature Spirit:
The moth is an amazing creature, and brings beautiful messages to all who are open to listening. It finds its way through the darkest nights using its internal guidance system and the light of the moon to guide its path. It is always seeking light and uses its intuition and determination to find it! If the light of the moon is not available, then it uses man made light. It has total faith and trust that all will be well and that every need will be taken care of during its night time journeys.
The message for you today, is to take notice of the moth’s use of its inner guidance system, and its ability to become at one with its surroundings. It is so important for you to also have enormous faith and trust in the guidance you receive from your intuition. This is not a blind faith, but a faith built on an understanding of Universal Law. This type of faith also protects you from falling down during the darkest moments of your journey through your physical life. But just as the moth embraces the darkness of the night, you must also embrace your darker side with all its faults and failings. It is through embracing all of you, both the negative and the positive, that you become one with all that is! It is then that you truly shine! You are so loved!

Spiritual Awakening – Love Answers the Call
Today’s Note to Self ~Remember today that change is just love answering the cry of my soul to grow and become~
As promised, I would love to share another heart with you today…
My phone was ringing in my pocket, and I just knew it would be Bill checking up on me, to see if I was okay in the rain, and if I needed him to come and pick me up!!! He is such a darling… but you would think that after 44 years of being together, he would know by now that I simply love to walk in the rain … dance in the rain … and sing in the rain!! LOL Anyway, I stopped under the shelter of a tree to chat, and as I hung up the phone, this little heart jumped out at me from the trunk. I quickly took my photo and then stood pondering its beauty before moving on. It was accepting the changes within the trunk lovingly, and without resentment, anger or resistance.
My thoughts raced back to a few years earlier when I had refused to listen to the longings of my soul to grow and become, and my financial world fell apart and disintegrated! I had heard the whisperings of Spirit … I had felt the tap on the shoulder … but had I listened and accepted? Definitely not! So, as a result, things happened in such a way that I was forced to change … my world fell apart, my heart was broken, and my eyes were drenched with tears … but my soul quietly rejoiced at the thought of new beginnings. By fighting against and resisting the change, I had built my very own pyre, sat upon it, and was sitting in the rubble wondering what on earth had happened!
Message from Nature Spirit:
The tree constantly sheds its bark to make way for a brand new, bright and shiny tree trunk to appear. It intuitively knows the time for change, and discards the old bark in the most loving way possible. This beautiful little piece of heart shaped bark brings to all who pass by, a truly wonderful and inspirational message … it had served its purpose over the past year or so, in protecting the tree from the strong winds of life… but it was now time for change, and it was happily and lovingly moving on.
Perhaps it is time for you to question how you accept the changes that occur in your life! Do you accept them lovingly, knowing there are new and exciting opportunities awaiting you to unwrap and delight in? Or, do you try and push them to one side and continue on, refusing to accept that change is inevitable, and the only way for you to grow and become a more magnificent you? We are here to help you understand that change is just love answering the cry of your soul to grow and become. Today, if you can hear the whisperings of change, then trust love to enfold and protect you, as you step forth into the exciting possibilities that lie ahead. You are truly sensational!
Spiritual Awakening – A Matter of Love
Today’s Note to Self ~Remember today, that even when I am drowning in sorrow, love waits with a gentle longing to embrace my soul~
I just love thunder storms! Sometimes, when Bill’s not looking, I sneak out to experience the amazing energy in the atmosphere whilst the thunder rolls and rumbles its way amongst the heavy dark clouds that hang low, bursting at the seams with their precious cargo, and argues with the lightning that streaks its way across the sky. Earlier this year, we had one of those fabulous summer storms that appears from nowhere, clears the air, and then moves on allowing the sun to once again break through. As soon as I could, I grabbed the umbrella and set out along my path. Feeling extremely happy and excited, I had a chat with Nature Spirit on leaving, and asked them to steer my eyes to as many images of hearts as they possibly could!
Well, they did not disappoint me! I came home with no less than 10 individual images of hearts! Over the next few blogs, I would love to share these with you … and I’m sure that Nature Spirit would love to share their messages.
The creek below our property swells very quickly following rain. This beautiful image appeared as I sat on the rocks and watched the ducks playing in the fast flowing water. A little heart shaped rock that would normally have been on dry ground, now rested in mud just below the surface of the creek. How beautiful it looked, and how it reminded me of the times when I have felt as if my heart was surrounded in the mud and muck of life, and drowning in my tears!
Message from Nature Spirit:
Everything in this whole Universe has been created through love … made of love … exists in love … and continues to create within this love. Every negative emotion that you feel in the physical is just a way of helping you to gain a greater understanding of what it means to be ‘out of love’, and drawing you back to true love in bigger and better ways.
One emotion often felt by humans is that of sadness, or despair. You cry your tears and feel totally disconnected from love in every way… physical love that is! But, to know and understand your TRUTH, means knowing and understanding that you can never, ever lose your connection with Divine love. This all knowing love waits with a gentle longing to embrace your mind, body and soul. It never intrudes upon your journey, but waits patiently for you to stretch into a new understanding of the truest, deepest, all encompassing love. So, when you feel your sadness, allow yourself to cry your sacred tears, and then move your awareness deep into your heart and feel the love that is always there for you… for an eternity! You are LOVE!

Spiritual Awakening – The Secrets of the Lyrebird
Today’s Note to Self ~Remember today, to listen in the stillness of all that is, for the magical song which is inviting me to recall the ancient wisdom held deep within my soul~
Spiritual awakening comes in many forms!
Last Friday was the last official day of Bill’s holiday, so we decided to down tools and head for the National Park at Kinglake to wander what we Aussies call the bush tracks, and breathe deeply of its peace and serenity. I was so excited as we drove our way around and up through the mountains, and wondered what magical moments Nature Spirit had in store for us on our arrival! Much to my dismay, as we prepared to set off along the path to a beautiful waterfall, I discovered I had left my walking shoes at home!! But, not to be deterred, it was on with the socks and sandals … such a wonderful sight!!!! LOL Luckily, we had the bush to ourselves!
The silence was amazing, and only disturbed by the beautiful melodies of the birds which flitted along the tracks to guide our way. As I breathed deeply of the freshest mountain air, I found myself being quite overcome by emotion … a very strong emotion that I couldn’t quite explain. It felt like sadness, grief and joy, all rolled into one and all I could do was sit beneath the ancient trees and cry my sacred tears. It was as if I was leaving a part of me behind and moving into unknown territory within my soul; feeling unfamiliar emotion that both scared and excited me.
It was on our path back towards the car that Spirit shed a little light on my new experience. I was stopped in my tracks by the clearest, most magical song that rang through the trees. Bill and I were both mesmerised by the sound and stood spellbound! Then, we were treated to the most enchanting sight … amongst the trees in the distance … a lyrebird! To actually see a lyrebird in the wild is something of a rarity, and here I was experiencing this amazing moment in time… and feeling so much gratitude!

Message from Nature Spirit:
The lyre bird symbolises genetic memory, poetry and song. It has the unique ability to remember the sounds of the bushland/forest of hundreds of years ago. The lyrebird hands on this sacred knowledge to its young, and the young hear these sounds as if they are hearing it from their ancestors of old. The lyrebird also represents the poetic inspiration within each of you.
The lyrebird reminds you to listen closely as your ancestors are calling you from beyond the physical … you are being prepared for a time of significant remembering. The Lyrebird’s enchanting songs assist in connecting you to times past, and the knowledge and understanding you gained, but may have forgotten. Through the use of beautiful music and poetry, you form the bridge which carries you from the physical world to the spiritual realm within you. They help to transport you across the realms of time so that you can begin to remember the ancient secrets that you have hidden within each tiny cell of your body. Today, listen for the song of the lyrebird carried on the wind … you are so loved!

Spiritual Awakening – Jumping Into the Unknown
Today’s Note to Self ~Remember today, that stepping into the unknown takes enormous courage and faith … but this is where you find the magic of life~
Jumping from the cliff of life does bring about amazing Spiritual Growth.
As I don’t carry my reading glasses with me, sometimes when I am out and about taking photos for my notes, I don’t even know if the photos are going to turn out okay!! So quite often, I get home only to discover that I had them out of focus, or my hand over the lens, or too much in the sunshine, or etc, etc … LOL! But sometimes, I get home and discover that I have captured the most sensational picture with beautiful surprises to add to my notes.
The image for today’s ‘note’ was one of those wonderful surprises! It was taken sitting on the edge of the lake that I love to visit … the rocks have obviously been put there to protect the bank from dogs who very excitedly run back and forth before jumping into the water to retrieve a stick or ball thrown in by their master/mistress. I took this photo whilst I sat on the rocks enjoying the warmth of the sunshine … when I arrived home, I realised that the reflection of the clouds in the water, made it look as if I was standing on the edge of a cliff looking out across a cloud filled sky! And boy, what a message it gave…
Message from Nature Spirits:
Living in your physical world takes enormous courage and commitment each and every day. We are constantly in awe of how you deal with your experiences and work your way through the challenges and struggles that appear. It would be very easy to stay in your ‘comfort zone’, and just follow a path of safety to try and achieve your dreams and goals.
But there is a far more exciting and fulfilling road to travel… the path of Faith! This is not a blind Faith, but a faith built on an understanding of Universal Law, and of your inner Truth. The Faith we speak of, is the Faith you have when you understand that you hold within you the power to create worlds. You understand that with each step the way will be shown, and along the path of Faith you will experience the magic of life; you know, those precious moments when you jump with all your might and land safely on the softest clouds filled to the brim with tiny miracles of joy and happiness. And yes, when you first begin this journey, (and often along the way) it may very well feel as if you are jumping from the edge of a cliff not knowing where you are going to fall! Please remember, that the spiritual side of you holds the GPS to living an amazing life… but you need to turn it on for it to work! You are truly admired by all in Spirit!
Spiritual Awakening – The Waterfall of Life
Today’s Note to Self ~Remember today, to have my life mirror the image of the waterfall … by embracing my sacred journey with faith and trust, I allow myself to cascade with beauty and grace into the divine purpose for which I came~
Why is it, on the days that you can actually have a sleep in, you wake up even earlier and regardless of your quiet wishing that you could just turn over and go back to sleep, it just doesn’t happen! Even after numerous suggestions of another hours sleep, my eyes were wide open, and my body was ready to get up and go! It was such a beautiful day, so we decided to go for a drive to Steavenson’s Falls … a little over an hour from home. I was sooo excited to be spending the day exploring a waterfall and finding beautiful notes.
We arrived very early, and much to our delight, we had the falls to ourselves. Their beauty instantly brought tears to my eyes. The clearest sparkling water gracefully and excitedly tumbled down the side of the mountain, spreading a fine mist over the surrounding vegetation … and us! The air smelt so delightfully fresh, and the sun gently warmed the breeze as we slowly climbed the tiny dirt track to the top of the falls; I am pleased to say that a little dragonfly decided to be our guide as we made our way upward!!! On reaching the top, I looked down on this magical sight, and it was as if the meaning of my life changed in an instant.
Message from Nature Spirits:
Discovering your life’s purpose can be quite a tricky business, but actually acting on it once you have found it, can be an enormous challenge. The difficulty is, that to travel down your ‘waterfall’, you must leave your ego behind, jump with all your might into the stream of life, and allow the mists of faith and trust soften the journey and bring you to a safe landing in a pool of total joy. This is definitely not a journey for the faint of heart … it takes enormous courage to embrace the purpose for which you came into this physical reality!
The journey may be a little bumpy at times, and there will be lots of surprises along the way, but we guarantee it will be well worth the ride. You will sparkle and shine with a beauty that the world has been longing to see ever since you arrived on this planet. So today, how about allowing yourself to cascade with beauty and grace into the arms of your divine purpose!

Spiritual Awakening – Train of Prosperity
Today’s Note to Self ~Remember today, to laugh with joy at the funny little ways in which messages arrive to let me know that my desire is on its way~
Spiritual Awakening can be lots of fun!
Every day when I go for my walk along Diamond Creek, I have to pass under a very large, very strong, railway bridge that crosses the creek, allowing the trains to carry passengers to and from the city. In the beginning, I would occasionally see a train crossing this bridge, and I would say to myself, “Here comes my train of prosperity!” And then I would imagine this train filled to the brim with all of my dreams and desires! As time went by, and I continued to proclaim to the world that this was my train of prosperity, it seemed that every time I came to the bridge, along came the train. And no, I don’t leave at the same time every morning! Not only that, but every time we now come to the railway crossing in the car… guess what happens? Down come the boom gates, and along comes the train!! Bill often says, “Please Geraldine, could you ask the prosperity train to come after we have crossed the tracks as I am really in a bit of a hurry today!” LOL
Then, to my surprise, two days ago, as I walked towards the bridge, along came the train, and just as I was about to pass under the bridge, the train slowed down and stopped! Wow! I laughed and laughed with joy … my train of prosperity had not only traveled towards me, but now it had stopped right over head!!! In my mind, I imagined it unloading all its precious cargo onto the path below, and me struggling home with all my desires in my arms, hanging out of my pockets, and hanging around my shoulders. I was given the most wonderful message; your prosperity is already here … are you ready to receive it?
Message from Nature Spirits:
You have the power to create anything that your heart desires. It all begins with your thoughts! By continually mixing together your thoughts, your words, and joyful emotions, you have the perfect recipe to bring into physical manifestation those long desired dreams. Along the way, Spirit shows you little signs that your desire is on its way … but you need to be watching … and Spirit does have a sense of humour!!! LOL When you see these signs, you need to spend time rejoicing and giving gratitude. These signs are telling you that all the wheels are turning, the band is rehearsing, the champagne is being chilled and the banquet is being prepared for you to celebrate the birth of your desire.
The magical secret to receiving, is to live life joyfully … and yes, we know this can be difficult at times! Sometimes though, you have to learn to laugh with joy at the absurdity of life. Learn to laugh with joy at your own mistakes, for it is through these mistakes that your desires become clear in your mind… you see what you don’t want, and therefore come to know what you do want! Find joy everyday in whatever way you can … and keep an eye out for YOUR train of prosperity! Toot, Toot!
